Phoenix, the capital of Arizona, is one of the most populated cities in America. The weather is warm and sunny year-round. There are a lot of things to do and a lot of things to look at. The city is filled with attractions, art, culture, shopping, events, and much more. With all that being said, the traffic can be pretty horrendous and is bad overall because of all the activity, but let’s look at all the good.
This is one of the most popular hiking spots in Phoenix. If you do take the hike, you can gain 1,200 feet in elevation and be rewarded with a beautiful view of the city. Make sure to drink plenty of water, bring all the necessary gear, and be safe on your journey to the top and/or along the trails. Also, you should expect there to be lots of activity on the trails since you won’t be the only one that was interested and decided to hike.
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with the zoo. It’s always great to see all of the different animals and the environment of the zoo in general is great. The Phoenix Zoo holds more than 3,000 animals and that includes about 400 species. The Phoenix Zoo has programs for adults and kids, volunteering opportunities, memberships, and so much more available for the public. It’s also the largest privately owned and non-profit zoo in the United States.
